Tikri Mutton
There's something about authentic Indian food, which takes you back to the rich culinary heritage of our country and one such delight is Tikri Mutton or Tikri Ka meat. This Rajasthani recipe will revive the nostalgia of the Royal Marwadi cuisne, with its amazing taste and flavour, this delicious mutton curry is simply a treat for taste buds.
INGREDIENTS
1 kilograms mutton
6 green chillies
1 garlic
2 inches ginger
4 medium onion
6 tablespoon refined oil
1 tablespoon turmeric
1 tablespoon red chilli powder
4 green cardamom
1 tablespoon cumin
6 gm clove
3 tablespoon coriander seeds
1 handful coriander leaves
2 tablespoon salt
0 water as required
How to make Tikri Mutton
Step 1
To prepare this recipe, take a large bowl and add the mutton pieces in it. Then, add 1 tbsp of refined oil, 1 tbsp of turmeric, 1 tbsp of red chilli powder, and salt and mix them together. Let the mixture marinate for a while.
Step 2
Now, take a food processor, and add 3 cardamoms, 1 tbsp of cumin, 1 tbsp coriander, 1 tbsp pepper, and 5-6 cloves of garlic. Grind them together and set aside.
Step 3
Next, grind a handful of coriander along with 6 green chillies, 8-9 cloves of garlic, ginger, along with 2 tbsp of oil and salt.
Step 4
Take a pan over medium flame and heat oil in it. When the oil is hot enough, add chopped onions and fry them. Then, add the grounder powders you prepared into it along with a little water.
Step 5
Cook till the oil begins to separate from the masala, and then, add the marinated mutton. Saute the mixture and add water to cover and salt to taste.
Step 6
Now, let it cook for 45-60 minutes and then, transfer it to a serving dish. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and enjoy the delicious Tikri Masala.
