Winters are here and it’s time to indulge in some delicious sweet delicacies and there’s nothing more delightful than a hot bowl of Kheer loaded with dry fruits and nuts. Til is usually consumed in winters as it is warm in nature and the presence of healthy proteins and nutrients, makes sesame a perfect winter food. Makar Sankranti is around the corner and it’s time to make some sweet treats for the family, but if you don't have much time to make an elaborate dessert spread, then this easy recipe can be prepared in under half an hour that too with some simple ingredients available in your kitchen shelf. So, without further ado let’s make a sumptuous, thick creamy Til ki Kheer, so celebrate the winter festival of Makar Sankranti.

INGREDIENTS

1 1/2 litre full cream milk

1 cup sesame seeds

1/2 cup date jaggery

1 cup mixed dry fruits

1/2 cup flaked almonds

1 handful cashews-roasted

1/2 cup condensed milk

How to make Til Ki Kheer

Step 1

To make the begin with this easy recipe, take a vessel and add milk to it, keep stirring so that it doesn't stick at the bottom of the pan. Next, take another pan and dry roast the sesame seeds and transfer to a plate.

Step 2

To the same pan, add some ghee and toss the dry fruits and nuts till they turn slightly golden in colour.

Step 3

Once the milk starts to reduce, reduce the flame and add in the sesame seeds, along with condensed milk, dry fruits. Simmer it nicely for 10 minutes. Adjust the sweetness by tweaking the quantity of jaggery or condensed milk, if needed.

Step 4

Lastly, turn off the flame and add powered dates jaggery and dry fruits, mix it nicely so that there are no lumps. Serve hot and enjoy
