Alia Bhatt to recreate Sridevi's iconic Chandni look for Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani? What we know

Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh-starrer Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani is one of the much-anticipated films of the year. The film is in its last leg of shoot and director Karan Johar hinted at shooting a romantic song for the film, which is a homage to his "favourite filmmaker". The film also stars Jaya Bachchan, Dharmendra, and Shabana Azmi in important roles.

Alia Bhatt to recreate Sridevi's Chandni look?

If reports are to be believed, Karan Johar is planning to recreate an iconic look from his favourite filmmaker and mentor Yash Raj.

The Bollywood Hungama report stated that Karan is planning to recreate Yash Chopra's blockbuster film Chandni starring Sridevi and Rishi Kapoor. According to the report, Alia's character in Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani is a huge fan of Sridevi.

The report further states that Alia will shoot a special song for which Manish Malhotra has designed a chiffon saree look, which is very similar to Sridevi's iconic look in Chandni. Reportedly, she will sport a minimalistic look in the dance number and will be grooving to a romantic song by Pritam.

About Rocky Ayr Rani Ki Prem Kahani

With the film, Karan Johar makes his comeback as a director after a long break of seven years. His last directorial was Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil in 2016. The film is scheduled to release on July 28, 2023.
