Ananya Panday Reacts To Being Pitted Against Other Actresses: Have Learned From Deepika Padukone, Bhumi Pednekar

Actress Ananya Panday is still trying to secure a place in the Hindi film industry and so are star kids like Janhvi Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan. The divas, despite being the same league, remain friends and often turn cheerleaders for each other. In a recent interview, AP was asked about competing against her contemporaries and here's what she had to say.

Ananya told Femina, "This pitting against each other, especially when it comes to women, is done by a certain set of people or the media. All these controversies, rumours and stories when, in actuality, I’ve been lucky enough to work with women such as Deepika Padukone, Bhumi Pednekar very early on in my career and I’ve learned from them. We were really, really good friends when we were shooting, and we’ve kept in touch; every time we meet, there’s warmth."

She added that the same applies to Sara Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor. The Gehraiyaan actress shared that she experiences a lot of comfort, affection, and encouragement from them. She said that most actresses, particularly those she has met, find close friends within the industry. They receive considerable support from women but this is often underestimated by those outside, said Ananya.

The SOTY 2 actress was last seen in the Netflix film Kho Gaye Hum Kahan with Siddhant Chaturvedi and Adarsh Gourav. The actress garnered immense praise for her performance in the film dedicated to GenZ.
