Arnold Schwarzenegger In Recovery After Undergoing Pacemaker Surgery

Actor and former governor Arnold Schwarzenegger is recovering after undergoing surgery to receive a pacemaker, as revealed on his podcast, Arnold's Pump Club. Schwarzenegger, 76, admitted that discussing his health publicly contradicts his Austrian upbringing but felt compelled to share his journey, hoping to offer courage and hope to others facing similar challenges.




“I have some personal news to share. Last Monday, I had surgery for a pacemaker and became a little bit more of a machine,” he said.

Despite the surgery, Schwarzenegger expressed gratitude for his swift recovery, crediting his medical team at the Cleveland Clinic for their exceptional care.


He said he wanted to be transparent given so many have shared with him their own heart health stories and by sharing his story it gives “them courage and hope to deal with their own” and “it only feels right to talk about this.”
