Bengaluru biker collides with car at 3 am; chases, threatens couple inside; arrested - video goes viral

Bengaluru: A video of a head-on collision between a two-wheeler and a car that occurred in Bengaluru's Sarjapur at around 3 a.m. on January 29 has gone viral on Twitter as the biker chased the car for about 5 km.

The two men were arrested after they reportedly tried to extort a techie couple near Doddakannelli on Sarjapur Main Road in the early hours of Sunday by ramming their bike into a vehicle.

In the video that has been posted to social media, the biker is seen confronting the couple in the car after chasing it for about 5 kilometres. While they had the turning indicator on, the couple is heard in the video saying that the biker rode in the wrong direction of the road.

The motorcycle hit the car in the viral video when approaching from the opposite direction. Later, he yelled at the pair to leave the vehicle, but they refused. The biker kept chasing them after the car reversed and he began pounding on the car's windows.

Ankita Jaiswal and Kush Jaiswal were returning to their apartment in their car on Sarjapur Main Road at the time of the incident, according to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Whitefield), S Girish. The accused struck the car while riding their bike against the one-way regulation.

The dash camera that's been placed in the car was used to record the video. A Twitter account called Citizens Movement, East Bengaluru shared it saying, “Horrific incident reported on Sarjapur road near Sofas & More around 3 am today.
