BMW S 1000 RR 2023 showcased at India Bike Week 2022

BMW Motorrad unveiled the 2023 S 1000 RR at the India Bike Week 2022 in Goa yesterday. The company will be launching the motorcycle later this month on December 10th. The company has also revealed that it will be introducing all the M models in the Indian market soon. BMW has commenced bookings for the S 1000 RR. The company has also added one year of additional warranty on the motorcycle, it is now being offered with a 3 year brand warranty from the company.

The S 1000 RR is track oriented sports style motorcycle that can generate 17.1kg of downforce at 300 kmph. The downforce generated by the motorcycle acts as a counterweight that prevents the front wheels from lifting off from the ground when accelerating at high speeds enabling the rider to maintain maximum grip in high performance scenarios.

The BMW S 1000 RR measures 2,073mm in length, 848mm in width and stands 1,205mm tall. It has a wheelbase of 1,457 mm and a seat height of 824mm. It has an unladen weight of 197 kg (193.5 kg for the M Package). It has a fuel capacity of 16.5 liters. It has a claimed fuel efficiency of 15.62 kmpl.

The BMW S 1000 RR houses a 999cc, in-line 4-cylinder engine producing 210 bhp and 113 nm of torque. It has a top speed of 303 kmph. It can go from 0-100 kmph in just 3.21 seconds. It has a multiplate clutch which is paired with a 6-speed gearbox.

The standard list of equipments on the BMW S 1000 RR include - BMW Motorrad ABS, ABS PRO, DTC (Dynamic Traction Control), HSC (Hill Start Control), 4 Riding modes (Road, Rain, Dynamic and Race), Shift assistant Pro, 6.5” TFT-Display, M Chassis Kit, M GPS Laptrigger (activation code) and M lightweight battery.
