Kit Harington Confirms Jon Snow Spinoff Series Is Shelved: Not Happening Anytime Soon

It's not looking good for Jon Snow! Kit Harington, who plays the Game of Thrones character revealed that, for now, the spinoff series revolving around the title character won't be moving forward. Harington had been keen to play Snow in a series that would continue his adventures after Game of Thrones ended.

Find out what the actor had to say about Jon Snow's fate so far.

Kit Harington confirms Jon Snow spinoff series is canned for nowIn an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Harington admitted that the series would not see the light of day anytime soon. He said, "If you're alluding to Jon Snow at all, it's not happening — and not happening anytime soon anyway. We bounced some ideas around and nothing really lit us up. It just didn't. I think we don't want to do something that's not worth it. So for the time being, we're just shelving it."

Harington also went on to say that there wasn't anything interesting to take forward in the series yet. He added, "But HBO cares about the character a lot and I care about the character a lot, and we don't want to put out something that is going to sully the character. That's the worst thing that we could possibly do. So unless we find something in the future that really lands, there's no point in rushing it. There's no point in keeping developing for development's sake and doing something that I don't want to do."
