Lord Krishna Aarti: “Aarti Kunj Bihari Ki”

Krishna is considered to be the eighth incarnation of Lord Vishnu and one of the most important deities of Hinduism. He is also one of the important characters in the Mahabharata and the Bhagavad Gita. Born to Devaki and her husband, Vasudeva, he later grew up with Yashoda and her husband, Nanda.

Lord Krishna is mentioned in both the Mahabharata and Bhagavad Gita. He is referred to as the God of love, compassion and protection. He is also one of the most widely worshipped deities in Hinduism. The birthday of Lord Krishna is celebrated every year on Krishna Janmashtami which tentatively falls in late August or early September, according to the Gregorian calendar.

How to worship Lord Krishna and chant Krishna Mantra?
Though a devotee can worship their deity on any day or at any time, Wednesdays are considered to be auspicious for worshippers of Lord Krishna. Followers of Hinduism, worship different manifestations of God on different days and hence, Lord Vishnu or his ninth avatar is worshipped on Budh Var or the day governed by the planet Budh (Mercury).
