Mammootty, Prithviraj To Team Up Again?

Mammootty, who is fresh from the success of the period horror film Bramayugam, is now gearing up for two consecutive releases with Turbo and Bazooka, both touted to be fun action entertainers.

Meanwhile, Prithviraj Sukumaran, who is enjoying national attention with two big ticket releases recently – Blessy’s Aadujeevitham, and playing a villain in the Bollywood film Bade Miyan Chotte Miyan, is set for the release of his next project, Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil, a comedy entertainer.

An Action Adventure
Now, recent reports have triggered speculations surrounding a new movie project starring megastar Mammootty and Prithviraj, who previously shared the screen in the 2010 action thriller Pokkiri Raja.

The new movie is also said to be an action thriller in similar vein to their last collaboration, and to be helmed by a debutant director. While details remain scarce, sources suggest an imminent official announcement regarding the project.

After Pokkiri Raja, Prithviraj made a cameo appearance in Mammootty's Munnariyippu, but the duo had no combination scenes in the movie.

Prithviraj had produced the megastar's Kadal Kadannu Oru Mathukutty and The Great Father, with his former production banner August Cinema.

Prithviraj Back On Home Turf
On April 18, Prithviraj posted on all his social media handles announcing that his team had wrapped up the foreign location portions for his directorial Empuraan, which is the sequel to his successful directorial debut film Lucifer, starring Superstar Mohanlal.

The team is expected to return to India to complete the final portions of the schedule. The actor shared a picture from their shoot, and he wrote: “On to Home Turf next!” The teaser for his upcoming release Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil was also released online the same day.

Reports also indicate that Prithviraj had recently been in talks to do the lead in RDX fame director Nahas Hidhayath’s next film to be produced by Sofia Paul’s Weekend Blockbusters Production.

Looks like Prithviraj is certainly not planning to slow down after bringing out a visual masterpiece like Aadujeevitham, which took him 16 years and rigorous body transformations to make.
