Mammootty-Gautham Vasudev Menon Film Officially Begins Shoot!

We had earlier reported that Malayalam Megastar Mammootty and ace Tamil director-actor Gautham Vasudev Menon will be teaming up for a Malayalam film that would be serving as the director’s debut in Malayalam cinema helming a film. Now, the project has been officially announced by the makers of the film, which went on the floors officially with a pooja ceremony at Kochi on July 10, Wednesday.

An Official AnnouncementThe announcement was made through the official social media handles of Mammootty’s production company Mammootty Kampany, which will be producing the film. The makers shared some exclusive stills from the pooja with the caption, “Today we commenced the 6th Production by MammoottyKampany. Directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon. Here are some exclusive Stills from the Pooja Event held today at Kochi. Stay tuned for all the updates !! We promise you that the wait will be worth it. (sic)” The Film’s Cast And CrewApart from Mammootty, the other cast members in the film, as indicated by those who attended the ceremony, include Gokul Suresh, Lena, Siddique, Vijay Babu and Pachuvum Athbutha Vilakkum-fame Viji Venkatesh. Gautham Menon's regular collaborator Anthony wil be handling the editing for the film, while cinematography will be handled by Vishnu Dev, who had previously collaborated with the director on the Vikram starrer Dhruva Natchathiram. The music and original score of the film will be composed by Darbuka Siva, who is best-known known for his work in the 2019 film Enai Noki Paayum Thota. Other details about the cast and crew are expected to be announced by the makers in the coming days.
