The key battle will be between Congress’ Ajay Nishad and BJP’s Raj Bhushan Chaudhry. Interestingly, Ajay Nishad joined Congress after he was denied his ticket by BJP and Raj Bhushan Chaudhry was chosen as his replacement.

Ajay Nishad and Raj Bhushan Chaudhry had also faced each other in the 2019 Lok Sabha election for the same constituency of Muzaffarpur but back then, Nishad was fighting for the BJP whereas Chaudhry was with VSIP. Ajay Nishad secured 6,66,878 votes when compared to VSIP’s Raj Bhushan Chaudhry who only managed to secure 2,56,890 votes.
