Shen Yinhao's Instagram Mix-Up Leads To Mistaken Identity, Indonesia Fans Mock Random Account Post Semifinals

Indonesian football fans, who are unhappy with the decision taken by Shen Yinhao during the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup Semifinals, started trolling a random person on Instagram by mistake. After the Indonesia vs Uzbekistan football match, thousands of people got confused about finding the Chinese Referee's IG handle and started posting comments on an unrelated account.

Fans were left confused as they were not able to find Shen's real IG account after the late Monday night football spectacle. Indonesian U-23 team supporters decried several of the decisions taken by Shen at the Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium in Doha. Notably, Some fans also called the actions taken by the referee from China controversial.

In the meantime, to troll Shen online Indonesian fans were looking for his official IG handle. However, they landed up at a random imposter account with a similar name and description. Following this, thousands of them started criticising him in the comments section of the only post on the verified handle with the username 'shenyinhaaao'.

"want to take a side don't be too visible," a user who was clearly unhappy with Shen's decision wrote.

Another user added, "The truth is just replace me the referee."

"How much did you get from Uzbekistan?" an angry Indonesian supporter said.

The fans of the Indonesia U-23 soccer team were so furious that they started writing comments without realising that the account was fake. Despite several users pointing out the fact, they continued. Some users also posted his real Insta handle in the comments section as one 'yinhao.shen'. The account has 140,000 followers.

The Indonesian U-23 national team has bitter memories with Yinhao. When leading the Indonesia vs Cambodia match at the 2023 SEA Games, Shen Yinhao once made a controversial decision that went against the former team.
