Udaipur constituency Rajasthan Lok Sabha Elections 2024:Voting date, key Candidates, Result

Udaipur: Lok Sabha elections are scheduled for April 26 (Phase 2) in 13 constituencies of Rajasthan including Udaipur, which is reserved for scheduled Tribes. The candidates have been fielded by all major parties as well as Independents on the political battlefield. Udaipur has seen both BJP and Congress in power with Arjunlal Meena from BJP and Raghuvir Singh Meena from INC.


Although the political heat is the same as ever. This time both parties have new representation. Congress has fielded a new candidate Tarachand Meena with great confidence. On the other hand, BJP candidate Mannalal Rawat's entry has caused discontent in the party's state unit. Rawat was formerly employed by the Rajasthan State Roadways and Transport Corporation (RSRTC).

In phase 2 of the Lok Sabha elections 2024, the Rajasthan seat, Udaipur will go to polls on April 26. The results will be counted on June 4.

2019 Lok Sabha Elections in Udaipur
In 2019, With 871548 votes, BJP candidate Arjunlal Meena won the Udaipur seat in the Lok Sabha elections. Raghuvir Singh Meena of the INC received 433634 votes. The Arjunlal Meena constituency received 1455417 votes in total.

Udaipur's Dynamic Demography
Due to the changing demographics of the area, the Lok Sabha seat in Udaipur, which was formerly a stronghold for the Congress party, is now reserved for Scheduled Tribes. There have been moments when the Swatantra Party and the Indian Lok Dal, respectively, have threatened the Congress's hegemony in this constituency. These instances occurred in 1971 and 1977. Election results are greatly influenced by the substantial Scheduled Tribes' presence in the constituency, which includes the Meena community.
