Pradhan seeks job data from Naveen

Balangir: Union minister and BJP candidate for Sambalpur Lok Sabha seat, Dharmendra Pradhan, said chief minister Naveen Patnaik should publish data on employment generated for people of Hinjili and Kantabanji, which are known for distress migration.

Pradhan criticised the BJD govt for its alleged failure in governance while addressing public meetings in Balangir and Nuapada districts on Saturday.

He campaigned for his party candidates and held multiple meetings at Titilagarh, Kantabanji and Loisingha in Balangir district and Khariar in Nuapada district.

He said BJD govt has ruled the state for last 24 years and is solely responsible for Balangir and Nuapada districts turning into centres of distress migration.

Pradhan also held the state govt responsible for the rise in temperature in Balangir district. He said it will turn into a hot desert by 2050.

Pradhan praised the work of his govt and lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s efforts to develop underdeveloped districts like Balangir and Nuapada.

“The Modi govt facilitated housing, toilets, food, cooking gas, Mudra loans, etc, to the poor of Nuapada district. More than one lakh crore has been spent through various schemes in the last 10 years in Nuapada district,” said Pradhan.
