British Council organises online film festival on LGBTQ rights

British Council, Kolkata has brought the sixth edition of Five Films for Freedom, the digital Film festival with LGBT themed films. This project is a global, online short film programme in support of LGBTQIA+ rights and brings films from across the world.
It is a collection of five films are available to watch free of charge until March 29 on the British Council’s Arts YouTube channel.

Additionally an online panel discussion will also be organized on March 29. The session - ‘Voices from the Margins - Building Resilient LGBTQIA+ Communities in India’, three key activists and influencers will reflect and discuss the existing situation of LGBTQIA+ rights in India. The session will be moderated by Rafiul Alom Rahman, the founder of The Queer Muslim Project.
