Mahavikas Aghadi candidates from Kalyan and Bhiwandi Lok Sabha accused the local MPs of not doing any work in the last 10 years

Due to the failure of the Maharashtra government and the local BJP MP Kapil Patil who is also Union Panchayat Raj Minister , Bhiwandi, which was once the hub of power looms, today about 50 percent of the power looms have been closed and many of the power looms have been shifted to Gujarat, alleged Suresh Mahatre alias Balya Mama, NCP (Sharad Pawar) candidate of from Bhiwandi.

Both the candidates of Mahavikas Aghadi from Kalyan Lok Sabha and Bhiwandi Lok Sabha , while holding a joint press conference on Sunday accused the two sitting MPs of not doing any major work in the Lok Sabha constituency in the last 10 years.

Apart from this, many industries from Maharashtra were accused of going to Gujarat, which both the MPs could not able to stop, in which powerloom industry from Bhiwandi and industries from Kalyan Lok Sabha were accused of going to Gujarat in large quantities.

Suresh Mahatre from NCP (Sharad Pawar) group is contesting from Bhiwandi Lok Sabha against Union Panchayat Raj Minister Kapil Patil while Vaishali Darekar is contesting against Shrikant Shinde, son of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and two time MP from Kalyan.

Kalyan Congress District President Sachin Pote today organized a joint press conference of the two Mahavikas Aghadi candidates , during which Mahatre accused Kapil Patil of not doing any work as an MP in Bhiwandi Lok Sabha. Mahatre said that today there is no good road in Bhiwandi nor is there any good health care service. For many years, Kapil Patil has been claiming that the railway work will start for Kalyan to Murbad route, but till now no work has started on ground.

Mahatre alleged that Bhiwandi city was once a powerloom hub but the state government did not given any subsidy to the looms or any other concession which is why almost 50 percent of the power looms have closed down in the city. While the Gujarat government gave them many concessions and started a one window system, the powerloom industry has shifted their and MP Kapil Patil failed to raise their issues.

On the other hand, Darekar has alleged that the Kalyan Lok Sabha MP Shinde claims to have done a lot of work but the reality is that there are a lot of problems in the Loksabha. There are many urban and rural areas where people are struggling with water shortage. In view of the increasing urbanization in Kalyan Lok Sabha, there is a need to build small dams here so that rain water can be stored properly and the needs of the citizens can be met from it. Not only this, not much work has been done in the Lok Sabha on the health issue. In a city like Dombivli, if a pregnant woman has any problem, she has to go to Kalwa Hospital. Not only this, like the whole of Maharashtra, many industries from Kalyan Lok Sabha are also shifting to Gujarat and the MPs are falling short in stopping them. Apart from this, there is no direct train facility from the railway stations like Mumbra and Diva which witness huge rush of passengers.
