MIM provoking Hyderabad's innocent Muslims, says Madhavi Latha

HYDERABAD: A day after a controversial video of her aiming an imaginary arrow at a mosque during a Ram Navami procession went viral, BJP candidate for Hyderabad Madhavi Latha claimed on Friday that the incident was a “conspiracy against us (the BJP)” due to their effective collaboration with both Hindu and Muslim communities in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Sab Ka Saath Sab Ka Vikas’.

Responding to remarks from AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi that her actions were provocative and could disturb the peace, Latha said, “They (AIMIM) are trying to provoke the innocent minority community by editing that video. I was gesturing towards the sky, not towards the mosque.” She also questioned whether the AIMIM chief opposed the development of the historic city of Hyderabad and the nation.
