UP man held for stabbing two in Panaji

PANAJI: Panaji police on Friday arrested Dharmendra Kumar, a native of Uttar Pradesh, for allegedly stabbing two persons at the city's KTC bus stand.

The accused attacked Mushtaq Shaikh and Makhtu Saiyad with knife over 'personal enmity', the police said. Shaikh and Saiyad are currently undergoing treatment at Goa Medical College and Hospital, Bambolim.

The police have registered an FIR and booked Kumar provisions of the Indian Penal Code. The police are trying to determine the motive behind the attack and further investigation is under way.
