Service station owner among two rammed by truck, injured
Gurgaon: A vehicle service centre owner and another youth were rammed by a pickup van in Rewari’s Manethi village during an altercation on Thursday afternoon. They suffered severe injuries and are currently undergoing treatment. The assault was captured on a CCTV camera.
A case has been registered under multiple sections of the IPC at Khol police station and a manhunt to nab the offenders is underway.
“In a bid to flee, Harender drove the van forward, running over Ankit and Vedpal. Harender and his aides fled. Ankit is being treated at Shakuntalam Hospital in Rewari. Vedpal’s family shifted him to another hospital in Jaipur on Friday,” Khol inspector Prehlad Singh said.
Based on a complaint by Dharmender, an FIR was filed under sections 148 (rioting armed with deadly weapons), 149 (unlawful assembly), 323 (causing hurt), 325 (voluntarily causing grievous hurt), and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC . “ The reason for the altercation was an argument between Ankit and Subham,” Prehlad said.
