Amit Shah to open KLE'S sports arena

Hubballi: Union home minister Amit Shah will inaugurate the Dr Prabhakar Kore Sports Arena on January 28 to mark the 75th anniversary of KLES’ BV Bhoomaraddi College of Engineering and Technology.

Speaking to the reporters on Tuesday, KLE Society Chairman Dr Prabhakar Kore said that BVB CET has contributed to the field of education for 75 years.

“The organisation, which was started in Gadag in 1948, has now grown into a matter of pride,” he added.

KLE Technological University vice-chancellor Ashok Shettar said that on January 27, the felicitation of KLE chairman Prabhakar Kore will be held in the presence of Legislative Council chairman Basavaraj Horatti, former CM Jagadish Shettar and others.

“On January 28, Union minister Amit Shah will inaugurate the newly built sports complex in the presence of Bharmrishi Gurudev of Vishwa Dharma Chetana, Tirupati. Chief minister Basavaraj Bommai, Union minister Pralhad Joshi, former CM BS Yediyurappa, ministers Murugesh Nirani, CC Patil, Shankar Patil Munenakoppa will be present.

On the same day, the BVB-KLE Tech Global alumni meet will be inaugurated by Sudha Murthy, an alumni of BVB, and the founder of Infosys Foundation.

On January 29, a technical conclave on Factories of the Future, a Trillion-Dollar Opportunity for India and Journey of Entrepreneurship, will be held.

A panel discussion on “B2B opportunity in USA for Indian Entrepreneurs” will also be held.

“Innovator and education reformist Sonam Wangchuk will deliver a talk,” he said.

He said, on the sports complex inauguration day. 10,000 students of KLE Institute of twin city and 4000 well-wishers of KLE will participate in the event.
