CBI should probe case, says Ramesh Jarkiholi

BELAGAVI: Former minister and Gokak legislator Ramesh Jarkiholi urged the government to hand over the sex CD case to which he is linked to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

Jarkiholi claimed he has “proof ” that Karnataka Congress president DK Shivakumar had a hand in releasing the CD. Jarkiholi, who quit Congress to help BJP form the government in 2019, said: “I have a recording of Shivakumar’s voice in which he says he will play with my career… He has destroyed my personal life.

So, I have requested the state government to hand over the case to the CBI.” Jarkiholi alleged that two of Shivakumar’s aides were involved in the case. He said one is from Sira and another from Devanahalli.

Jarkiholi said when police conducted a search and seizure operation at the residence of the Devanahalli-based aide, some 110 CDs, including one of the investigating officer, were found. “Shivakumar is ready to blackmail many functionaries with CDs.
I do not want anybody to suffer such conspiracies like I have,” Jarkiholi said. However, he added: “Even if 100 such CDs are released, I will bounce back and fight back.”
