Modi should be defeated: Swamy

Madurai: Veteran BJP leader Subramanian Swamy has said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has to be defeated as ‘he had not done enough’. Speaking on the sidelines of a wedding function in Madurai, Swamy said Narendra Modi has kept him ‘as far as possible’ because he was scared of him.

“He has already contested twice. He has not done what is required.

China has taken over 4,000 square kilometres of India. He says a lot in advertisements. The economic condition of the country is in doldrums. Even smaller countries like Maldives have asked India to vacate and we could not do much,” he said.

According to his analysis of BJP’s prospects in Tamil Nadu, Nainar Nagendran will definitely win but he is yet to look into Annamalai’s chances. Swamy said no one from BJP has requested him to campaign but he is ready if asked to. He was instrumental in bringing down the DMK government twice in the past, he said.
