Car tyre burst: Kollegala MLA Krishnamurthy suffers minor injuries

Mysuru: Kollegala MLA AR Krishnamurthy, his assistant and a car driver miraculously escaped unhurt after the tyre of the four-wheeler they were travelling came apart on the move near Mysuru. They all suffered minor internal injuries, but were out of danger. MLA Krishnamurthy told TOI that the incident happened near Mysuru when he was on his way to the city around 11.45pm on Wednesday.

They were travelling in a friend’s car that veered off the road following a tyre burst and then stopped after hitting a rock in the ditch on a roadside. Krishnamurthy said he was lucky enough to escape and is out of danger but has suffered internal injury. He hasn’t been admitted to any hospital, but is resting at home and returned to Kollegala for Friday’s Lok Sabha polling. TNN
