Four banned from entering four districts

Vadodara: Ahead of the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls, four persons have been banned from entering four districts of Gujarat.

Acting on a proposal received from four police stations, four persons including three residents of Petlad and one from Sojitra taluka of Anand district have been banned from four districts —Anand, Kheda, Vadodara and Ahmedabad.

Petlad’s sub-divisional magistrate (SDM) issued the externment orders as a preventive measure to uphold law and order in a bid to ensure peaceful and fair Lok Sabha polls. These individuals, habitual offenders, are deemed likely to engage in activities that could disrupt public order during the election process. These individuals were externed considering their criminal backgrounds, Anand district official said.

The individuals including Alpesh Ramavatar Yadav, Liyakatmiyan alias L K Aminmiyan Malek, Manjulaben, daughter of Dhulabhai Talpada and Vishnu alias Bhano Laxman Solanki. Based on the SDM’s orders, all the four were detained by the cops on Sunday. tnn
