Ajay Rai attacks PM Modi on unemployment

Varanasi: UP Congress Committee president, Ajay Rai, launched a scathing attack on PM Narendra Modi, alleging that people from all sections of society have been struggling during his ten-year tenure. Rai is contesting as the INDIA block candidate against Modi for the Varanasi parliamentary seat.

Addressing reporters on Thursday, Rai asserted that over the past decade, the Modi government has not only made life difficult for the common man but has also left no stone unturned in strangulating democracy.

“While rampant unemployment shatters the dreams of the youth, inflation exacerbates the challenges faced by the poor and middle class,” said Rai.

Rai further accused Modi govt of only causing harm to the nation. PM Modi is also accused of betraying his constituents. “In 2014, when Modi decided to contest elections from Varanasi, it sparked hope among the locals for development in the region. However, Kashi’s culture has been eroded, betraying the expectations of its people,” added Rai. He also claimed that no significant progress has been made in the medical or educational sectors in Varanasi over the past decade. He said, “The condition of divisional hospitals is deplorable, and no new educational institutions have been established despite Varanasi being the PM’s constituency.”
