Amaravati works will start soon after NDA forms govt, says Naidu

Vijayawada: Former chief minister and TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu said that work on Amaravati capital city will be restarted soon after coming to power.

Addressing a street corner meeting at Naz Centre in Guntur city after a rally, Naidu said that the YSRC govt not only destroyed Amaravati but also neglected the development of Guntur.

Naidu said that Amaravati would have become an economic growth engine of the state had the capital works were continued. Naidu appealed to people to think about the opportunities they lost in the last five years. People should ask YSRCP leaders why they should vote for them who destroyed capital which resulted in erosion of value of their assets, said Naidu.

Allaying the fears of Muslims, Naidu said that TDP has always stood for them even when aligning with BJP in the past.

Naidu dubbed the Land Titling Act brought in by YSRCP govt as Land Grabbing Act. Addressing public meetings at Chirala and Guntur, he said that if the Land Titling Act comes into force there will be no guarantee for anyone’s private property.

“Jagan Mohan Reddy will snatch away the property of anyone by simply changing the details online without the knowledge of the original owners. We will abolish the draconian legislation immediately after coming to power”, said Naidu.

Taking on the chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, Naidu said that the YSRCP govt started off with demolition of Praja Vedika. Governance is going in reverse gear since then as Jagan Mohan Reddy has been on a spree of undoing all the good work that TDP has done, he said adding that the destructive policies of YSRCP reached the peak after it has stopped capital Amaravati project in the name of three capitals.

“Today, Andhra Pradesh has become a state without a capital. Had they continued works in Amaravati, lakhs of job opportunities would have been created benefiting the youth of the state,” he said.

Asserting that only TDP and NDA can make Viksit Bharat and Viksit Andhra Pradesh, Naidu said that the manifesto of NDA is the vision document for realising that dream. While the YSRCP’s manifesto turned out to be a damp squib without any hope for future, the NDA has given aspirational manifesto ensuring welfare and all-round development of SC, ST, BC, Minorities, and economically weaker sections, he said. Naidu appealed to people to compare the manifestos of YSRCP and NDA before casting their votes. He promised to complete Thota Vari Lift Irrigation project and resolve drinking water problem of Chirala. Taking on the incumbent MLA Karanam Balaram who defected to YSRCP after 2019 election, Naidu said that the people of Chirala should teach him a lesson.
