Jagan camp buoyant as almost entire YSR clan extends support

Vijayawada: Notwithstanding the decision of his sister, YS Sharmila, to lead the Congress campaign, almost all immediate family members of the late Y S Rajasekhara Reddy are supporting chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.

YSR’s brothers and their siblings are handling electioneering responsibilities in Kadapa Lok Sabha constituency.

While some of them have come back from different countries, other family members in Hyderabad have moved to Kadapa for election management.

Each one of them has been given specific responsibilities regarding poll management in different mandals in Kadapa Lok Sabha constituency. On the other hand, only YS Vivekananda Reddy’s daughter, Suneetha, is backing Sharmila.

While chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s wife, Bharati, has taken up the campaign in Pulivendula constituency, Avinash’s wife, Samatha, too is travelling in the constituency seeking votes for YSRCP.

YS Rajasekhara Reddy’s three younger brothers, YS Ravindranath Reddy, Sudheekar Reddy and Madhukar Reddy, are handling election management in Kadapa city assembly segment.

YS Manohar Reddy has been tasked with the responsibility of Pulivendula municipality in Pulivendula. Their siblings Dr.YS Abhiskhek Reddy is in Lingala mandal and Madan Mohan Reddy in Tonduru mandal.

Pulivendula rural mandal and Kondapuram are given to the relatives of Avinash, Chavva Dushyanth Reddy and Jammalamadugu responsibilities to Chavva Jagadeesh Reddy.

Bharati’s brother, Dr EC Dinesh Reddy, has taken the charge of Vemula mandal and Avinash’s son-in-law, Gandluru Veerasiva Reddy, has been deputed to Simhadripuram mandal.

YS Kondareddy will take care of Chakrayapet mandal. YSR’s nephew, Yuvaraj, is moving in Vempalle mandal. Yuvaraj is the son of YSR’s lone sister, Vimalamma, who has come out against Sharmila and Suneetha.

At different media conferences, Vimalamma said that Sharmila and Suneetha have turned against Jagan without any reason. She said that Avinash and his father were in no way connected with the murder of her brother, Vivekananda Reddy.

None of the YSR family members is making any adverse comment against Sharmila and Suneetha despite their aggressive campaign against Jagan.

The YSR family members are backing Jagan with composure. The presence of the entire YSR clan in the constituency is a morale booster to Jagan and Avinash.

“The support of almost the entire YSR clan for YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is expected to send a strong message to the electorate. The family is firmly behind Jagan. They are not toeing to the line of either Sharmila or Suneetha in Viveka murder,” said a political analyst.
