At AIR 321, Sahu emerges as state topper in JEE Mains

Raipur: Bhagyawansh Sahu from Raipur, a top scorer who attained 99.98 percentile in JEE Mains 2024, secured 321 all India rank (AIR) and became the state topper as National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the results for the exam. He had obtained 99.95 percentile in the first session.

Sahu, who aspires to pursue a B. Tech from the CS branch of IIT Mumbai, revealed that he dedicated 10 hours daily to his studies along with regular school studies.

Bhagyansh’s father is an officer at Central GST, while his mother is a teacher at a govt school.


Around 10,000 students from the Chhattisgarh appeared for the JEE examination this year. Keshav Kumar Ramuka secured an AIR of 938.

Amandeep Singh and Naman Ahuja, who appeared for the 12th board exam this year are from Raipur scored 98.6 percentile, while Vanshika Prasad scored 96.5 percentile.

A total of 10.68 lakh students appeared for the Session-2 exam this year. The NTA had declared the results of the JEE Mains Session-1 exam on Feb 12. This year, 10,67,959 students appeared for the April session, which is 45,366 fewer than last year.

Out of all categories, 2,50,248 students have qualified for JEE Advanced through JEE Mains. Last year, out of the approximately 2.5 lakh students selected, only 1,89,487 appeared for the Advanced exam.
