Lok Sabha Elections 2024 in Bihar: Schools and colleges to remain closed on these days

The Bihar 2024 Lok Sabha Elections are scheduled to occur in seven phases from April 19 to June 1, determining the 40 members representing the state in the 18th Lok Sabha. The results will be announced on June 4.

The Election Commission of India (ECI) on March 16 announced the entire schedule of the 2024 Lok Sabha election schedule, spanning 28 states and eight union territories.

On election days, voting takes center stage. To accommodate this, schools and colleges within voting districts become temporary polling places, necessitating their closure. This allows for a seamless voting experience and ensures a secure environment, especially in areas with security concerns. In such areas, early closures might be implemented to prioritise a safe and peaceful election.
