UPSC Civil Services 2023: How many candidates qualified for IAS, IFS and IPS?
UPSC Civil Services 2023 result out: The Union Public Service Commission has released the results for the Civil Services Exam 2023 today, April 16, 2024. The final result and merit list has been released by the Commission for the appointment of 1,016 candidates into various Group A and B services through the Civil Services Exam 2023.
The Civil Services Exam written round was held in September 2023 and subsequently the interviews were held between January and April 2024. Candidates are chosen for roles in the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and Central Services Groups 'A' and 'B'.
How many students have been selected for the different services?
In the results announced today for the civil service examination 2023, 180 candidates have been selected for the prestigious Indian Administrative Service (IAS), while the Indian Foreign Service (IFS) has shortlisted approximately 37 candidates. The Indian Police Service (IPS) has also welcomed about 200 new recruits. Additionally, the Central Services Group 'A' has seen around 613 individuals chosen, while 113 candidates have been selected for Central Services Group 'B'.

The Union Public Service Commission has released the UPSC 2023 results on its official website, upsc.gov.in, in the form of a PDF document containing the serial number, roll number, and name of the candidates who have qualified for final appointment. The list is compiled on a merit basis and represents UPSC CSE toppers for 2023.
According to the rankings, Aditya Srivastava , Animesh Pradhan , and Donuru Ananya Reddy are the top three performers in the UPSC Civil Services exam 2023. These candidates received first, second, and third place in the All-India Rankings (AIR).
