Chiyaan Vikram has fun in Hogenakal shooting for 'Thangalaan'

Director Pa Ranjith had begun shooting for his next film ' Thangalaan ', with Chiyaan Vikram earlier in October, which was earlier referred to as ' Chiyaan 61 '. While the film is said to be a period drama from 1800's and shot on a grand scale, the team has been shooting in Hogenakal Falls and looks like actor Chiyaan Vikram is having fun on the sets.

Sharing a video of himself and a few other from team including director Pa Ranjith having fun in the water, Chiyaan Vikram wrote in Tamil, which translates to, "Today, we were shooting near Hogenakal for 'Thangalaan'. It would be an understatement to say that it was difficult. The water kept inviting us. So once I heard 'Pack Up' I jumped into the water. Will I leave my friends?! Alas, some people who were afraid of not wanting to, refused to leave the last water."

The upcoming movie also stars Malavika Mohanan, Parvathy Thiruvothu and Pasupathy Masilamani. Composer GV Prakash and cinematographer Kishore Kumar are part of the technical team.

Earlier in June, producer Gnanavel Raja, who is bankrolling the film under his Studio Green banner had revealed that the film will also be shot in 3D. He further said that the film is being planned at a massive scale and will be shot in Hindi as well. The team is planning shoot in 3D as well, which will be a visual treat for the audience.
