When I saw his film Ex Machina, I was so blown away by it. He’s made a few films and I've read scripts that he hasn't directed but written and Civil War was one of the most intense scripts I've ever read in my life.”

“I was just happy that he wanted me to be a part of it because I'm a big admirer of his work. In fact, there was someone else that he met for this role, too” she added.

The actress also opened up about her experience of playing the role of photojournalist Lee Miller and said, “I pretty much move on from my characters once they are done, I’m like just bring me home. But with Lee, I was actually very happy to go back home. I was not tired of playing it but I was exhausted from the entire filming process."
