Imran Khan to collaborate with Vir Das in his debut directorial 'Happy Patel'? Here's what we know

Imran Khan has been contemplating a return to acting for some time now. After his comeback web series was shelved, it appears that the actor may just be collaborating on a project backed by Aamir Khan.

As per the latest reports on Peeping Moon, the ‘Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na' will make his comeback with Vir Das's debut directorial film titled 'Happy Patel'.
A source told the portal that Imran has seemingly 'finalized' this project, which comes almost eight months after he hinted at the idea of returning to films.

The report further stated that he will be playing the role of Happy Patel in a quirky comedy produced by Aamir Khan's production house. The film is described as a hilarious romp set in a familiar yet creatively distinct setting, reminiscent of Imran's past works. The source also revealed that shooting has already begun in Goa.

The report also added that 'Happy Patel' will serve as Vir's directorial debut. Imran and Vir had previously acted together in 'Delhi Belly', a film that was also backed by his uncle, Aamir.

Imran made his debut as a lead actor in 'Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na' alongside Genelia D'Souza and went on to become B-town's chocolate boy. He was last seen in the 2015 film 'Katti Batti' which starred Kangana Ranaut, after which he took a sabbatical from films.
