Marvel Studios unveils new poster for the Fantastic Four and recommends comics for fans

Marvel Studios has released an exciting new poster for The Fantastic Four, marking the occasion of 4-4 Day. The poster showcases Joseph Quinn's character, Johnny Storm/The Human Torch, soaring through the sky with a fiery "4" in the background, hinting at the iconic superhero team's return to the big screen.

To celebrate the release of the poster, Marvel also provided fans with recommendations on which comics to read to prepare for the upcoming MCU movie. Visitors to Marvel.com/FantasticFour were treated to a special 404 Page Not Found screen featuring H.E.R.B.I.E. the robot. However, keen-eyed fans discovered a hidden QR code on H.E.R.B.I.E., leading them to a page for the Future Foundation, a significant organization from the comics.

On the Future Foundation page, readers were granted access to five specific issues of Fantastic Four on Marvel Unlimited for free. These issues include Fantastic Four #1, which marks the debut of Marvel's First Family, as well as issues #48-50, introducing iconic characters like Galactus and Silver Surfer. Additionally, Fantastic Four: Life Story #1, set in the 1960s, was recommended, providing further hints about the movie's setting.

The selection of these comics suggests that Galactus will be the main villain in The Fantastic Four and hints at a storyline set in the 1960s. This news follows the recent casting announcement of Julie Garner as Shalla-Bal/Silver Surfer, adding to the star-studded cast that includes Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach.

While Galactus is set to play a significant role, it remains unclear whether Doctor Doom, another iconic villain from the Fantastic Four comics, will appear in the reboot. With the film scheduled for release on July 25, 2025, fans can look forward to more updates and revelations as production progresses.

The Fantastic Four promises to be an epic addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, blending classic comic book storytelling with cutting-edge cinematic visuals.
