Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman's 'Deadpool & Wolverine' trailer teases Link to Tom Hiddleston's 'Loki'

Ryan Reynolds is all set to shake up the MCU with his film 'Deadpool & Wolverine' co-starring Hugh Jackman.

The new trailer that dropped online on Monday featured plenty of easter eggs and a formidable entity known as Alioth. According to reports, this drops major hints at a possible link between the film and the Disney+ series, Loki.
Within the show's narrative, Alioth made its debut in the first season, dwelling within The Void and serving as a relentless guardian for the Time Variance Authority, consuming the multiverse's discarded histories and temporal irregularities. Over time, this creature attained consciousness as it absorbed more anomalies, sustaining itself while safeguarding He Who Remains—a variant of Loki responsible for quelling a multiversal conflict with Alioth's formidable abilities.

The integration of the TVA into 'Deadpool & Wolverine' has been anticipated for some time, especially considering it marks one of the initial films to introduce Fox's X-Men characters into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While the concept of the multiverse has been pivotal in storytelling, glimpsing an alternate Charles Xavier (played by Patrick Stewart) in 'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness' differs significantly from the prospect of Deadpool taking center stage in his own MCU instalment.

The tangible appearance of Alioth in the trailer serves as perhaps the closest semblance of confirmation regarding the potential involvement of Loki himself in the movie. Given Loki's newfound existence at the end of time, he presumably serves as the current overseer of Alioth. This convergence hints at a broader narrative weaving together disparate elements of the MCU and beyond. With Alioth and the TVA in the mix, expect nothing short of timeline-shattering mayhem.

Set to hit theatres on July 26, Marvel's 'Deadpool & Wolverine' will be released in IMAX and 3D formats.
