Saif Ali Khan reveals why Vishal Bhardwaj chose him over Aamir Khan to play Langda Tyagi in 'Omkara': 'He asked too many questions...'

Saif Ali Khan ultimately portrayed the character of Langda Tyagi in the National Award-winning film after Aamir Khan posed numerous queries to Vishal Bhardwaj.

In an interview with Film Companion, Saif reminisced about Vishal Bhardwaj's revelation regarding his conversation with Aamir Khan. When asked if he knew at the time that Aamir was being considered for the role, Saif acknowledged that he had heard about it later.
He mentioned that Vishal informed him that Aamir had a lot of questions and wanted to make some changes to the role. However, despite Aamir's known meticulousness with his roles, he didn't receive any further communication from Vishal.

Saif mentioned that Aamir likely had a conversation with Vishal, but Vishal apparently mentioned he would call Aamir back and then contacted Saif instead. Vishal simply stated that it wouldn't work out because he wasn't confident it would align with Aamir's vision. It was a direction Vishal wasn't comfortable proceeding with.
