When Abhishek Bachchan said he's a carbon copy of his mother Jaya Bachchan and not his father Amitabh Bachchan - Exclusive

Jaya Bachchan celebrates her birthday today and as the veteran actress turns 76, fans are showering love for the lady on social media! She's been a part of many movies which are considered iconic in Hindi cinema - from 'Sholay', 'Chupke Chupke', 'Parichay', 'Bawarchi', 'Kora Kaagaz', 'Abhimaan' amongst many more. On her birthday today, here's recalling the time when her son Abhishek Bachchan had said that he's her carbon copy.

Ever since Abhishek has made his debut with 'Refugee', there have been comparisons with his father and how he naturally reminds everyone of Amitabh Bachchan. However, contrary to popular belief, Abhishek feels he's more like his mother. A while ago, when ETimes interviewed him, along with R Balki and Saiyami Kher for thier movie 'Ghoomer', Balki had said that Abhishek is very different from his father in his acting process.

The 'Paa' director opined, "I think Abhishek is highly distinctive. Being Amitabh Bachchan's son and being so different from him is almost an impossibility. Abhishek is very modern, he has a different personality. There's intensity but intensity with a smile. There are very few actors like him I've seen."

Responding to this, Abhishek had said, "I think I'm more like my mother, instead of my father. My style and everything." Balki added, "He's very natural, very candid, very easy."

When further told to Abhishek that he slightly also looks like his mother, he instantly said, "Yeah, yeah, I look like my mom only. I'm a carbon copy of my mom."
