Nidarshana Gowani launches Kamala Rising Star Awards

Nidarshana Gowani, a noted real estate entrepreneur and philanthropist, launched Kamala Rising Star Awards through her organization Ankibai Ghamandiram Gowani Trust. The awards ceremony was held at Raj Bhavan in Mumbai on May 3, 2022. Kamala Rising Star Awards, an initiative of Nidarshana Gowani, have been established to recognise, felicitate and empower people from diverse fields for their exemplary work. Governor of Maharashtra Bhagat Singh Koshyari bestowed the recipients with the awards.

The recipients were shortlisted from diverse fields including music, art, social development, law, culture, and media, to name a few. These are the people who have gone the extra mile in their respective fields to usher in positive change in society.

Speaking on the occasion, Nidarshana Gowani said: "Ankibai Ghamandiram Gowani Trust has been working over the past couple of decades for the welfare and upliftment of the society. We started by building schools, colleges, etc., in Bhimal in Rajasthan and have now grown to serve the nation through our various programs and initiatives. India today is evolving and so is the need to recognize the heroic efforts of women and men who have gone beyond their comfort zone and brought a change in society."

The recipients of the Rising Stars Awards felicitated at the event were Amit Trivedi, Pratik Gandhi, Ananya Birla, Chef Ranveer Brar, Akash Thosar, Manav Manglani, Dr Meenakshi Munda, Dharmesh Yelande, Rahul Shetty, Mukti Mohan, T Koshy, Dr Pratit Samdani, Dr Jitendra Pandya, Prithviraj Patil, Dikshat Mehra, DJ Shaan, Faye D'souza, Nidhi Bhatia, Ekta Sandhir, Gyathso Lepcha, Divya Sheth, Rid Burman, Prajakta Mali, Anuja Zaveri, Saurabh Chatterjee, Lakshmi Govekar, Ronak Mansi Bagla, Vandana Jagwani, Vishal Agarwal, Nidhi Bhatia, among others.

"The Kamala Rising Stars would stay focused on celebrating, recognizing and honouring people throughout the year. We would continue to inspire and motivate the coming generations to be the 'New Era Change Makers' of the society,” said Gowani.
