KARNAL: A team of Haryana State Narcotic Control Bureau (HNCB) claimed to have seized 561.75kg of ganja patti (cannabis), worth about Rs 3 crore, on Wednesday morning.
Police said that the consignment was hidden under the bags of cattle feed loaded in a truck, which was on its way to Mewat.
Superintendent of police Tahir Hussain said,”A team was returning from Mathura, when they got a tip off about the smuggling of drugs in a truck, which was coming from Mathura Kosi side in UP. The team laid a naka near Ujina village. But after noticing the team, the driver abandoned the truck on the road. During the checking of the truck, the team found 19 bags of ganja hidden under cattle feed in the vehicle.”
