Bizmen demand flat rate of power for industry

Ludhiana: In wake of the ongoing recession and other hardships, city businessmen are now demanding that Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) reduces rate of power for industry and keeps it at flat rate of Rs. 5.

Gurmeet Singh Kular, president of Federation of Industrial and Commercial Organisations, said, “Every sector is passing through a very bad phase, so we urge the state government and PSPCL to consider reducing rate of power for industry and keep a flat rate of Rs.5 per unit for at least three years.

We have already submitted a memorandum to PSERC.” TNN
