Karnataka Congress to screen BBC documentary

MYSURU: The Karnataka Congress unit said it will screen the BBC documentary, ‘India: The Modi Question’ at its office premises in Mysuru city. The documentary deals with the riots in Gujarat in 2002 when Prime Minister Narendra Modi was chief minister of the state.

The Union government had blocked social media sites from airing, streaming, or sharing the documentary, but had not banned the film outright.

M Lakshman, KPCC spokesperson, said: “BBC has thrown light on the truth. BJP leaders themselves have been beating their chests that Modi had given directions to kill Muslims [during the riots]. Like the ‘Kashmir Files’, this documentary should be exhibited all over the country. I request people of the country to watch the documentary. ”
