Southern Railway to run special train between Madurai and Palani

MADURAI: In view of the Kumbabhishekam of Lord Dhandayuthapani temple in Palani, Southern Railway will run a special train from Madurai to Palani on January 26 and 27. The special train will be operated again in the first week of February in view of the annual Thaipusam festival.

According to the statement from Southern Railway, No 06080 Madurai – Palani unreserved special train will leave Madurai at 10am and reach Palani at 12.30pm on Jan 26 and 27 as well as on Feb 3, 4 and 5.

No 06079 Palani – Madurai unreserved special train will leave Palani at 2.30pm and reach Madurai at 5pm on the above mentioned dates.

These trains will stop at Sholavandan, Kodaikanal Road, Dindigul and Oddanchathiram stations.
