Thaipoosam festival: Special train to be run between Dindigul and Coimbatore

MADURAI: Southern Railway has announced a set of special trains between Dindigul and Coimbatore in view of the Thaipoosam festival at Lord Dhandayuthapani temple in Palani. The special trains will also be useful to clear the extra rush of passengers who have come to Palani to attend the kumbabishekam at the temple on Friday.

No 06077 Coimbatore – Dindigul unreserved special train will leave Coimbatore at 9.20am on January 28, 29 and February 4, 5 and 6 and reach Dindigul at 1pm.

No 06078 Dindigul – Coimbatore unreserved special train will leave Dindigul at 2am on the above mentioned dates and reach Coimbatore at 5.30pm.

These trains will stop at Podanur, Kinathukadavu, Pollachi, Komangalam, Udumalpet, Maivadi Road, Madathukulam, Pushpathur, Palani, Chatrapatti, Oddanchatram and Akkaraipatti stations.
