Watch: MS Dhoni's helicopter shot lesson to a lucky fan goes viral

NEW DELHI: MS Dhoni is well-known for his unique batting style, especially for a shot called the helicopter shot . This shot involves Dhoni swinging his bat in a circular motion to hit the ball, often resulting in it soaring high and far into the stands.

The shot is not only famous for its power but also for the skill and timing required to execute it effectively.
It has become a signature move for Dhoni, and many young cricketers in India try to imitate it.

Fans often wait eagerly to see him play this shot during a match, as it is both exciting and a display of his batting prowess. And a fan couldn't have asked for a better moment than learning that shot from none other than Dhoni himself.

A video is going viral on social media showing Dhoni teaching a fortunate fan the helicopter shot at an event.

In what appears to be his last season in the IPL, Dhoni has been in explosive form in the ongoing season and is striking at a rate of 260, taking his game to a new level.

Dhoni showcased his mastery by dismantling opposition bowlers, delivering breathtaking cameos to provide a late flourish for CSK while batting lower down the order.

The 42-year-old Dhoni's batting prowess left AB de Villiers in awe of him but the former South Africa captain has come with a piece of advice for him.

De Villiers suggested that considering Dhoni's form, he should be promoted up the order in the upcoming games, which would also benefit CSK.

"I understand it's a guy that's not playing a lot of cricket these days. He comes in, prepares for the IPL and that's only he plays. Maybe him batting down the order thinking he is not in such great form, maybe the younger guy deserves the chance to bat up the order," De Villiers said on his YouTube channel.
