"What is it with @SunRisers that they’ve gotten past 260 thrice in this season alone! Today was a game where they completely outclassed @DelhiCapitals," wrote Tendulkar in a post on microblogging website 'X'.

"They, of course, batted well thanks to a mind-boggling start by @travishead34 & @IamAbhiSharma4 and a wonderful finish by Shahbaz. And in the 2nd half of the game, they bowled much better than DC, with their variations proving to be very effective. Well played, SRH!" his post further read.

Batting first, the Sunrisers unleashed an onslaught right from the start as their batsmen, Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma , orchestrated a blistering century partnership in just five overs, setting a new world record for the fastest team hundred.

Their explosive performance continued as they amassed 125 runs in the powerplay, the highest ever in T20 cricket history, with 13 fours and 11 sixes raining down in the first 36 legitimate deliveries.

Head showcased his batting prowess with a scintillating 89 off 32 balls, including a lightning-fast fifty in just 16 balls, tying for the season's quickest. Sharma wasn't far behind, smashing 46 off a mere 12 balls at a staggering strike rate of 383.33. Further down the order, Shahbaz Ahmed blazed his way to an unbeaten 59 off 29 balls, featuring 5 sixes, propelling the Sunrisers to an imposing total of 266 for 7.

Facing a daunting chase, Delhi, playing on their home turf, initially showed promise but ultimately faltered under the weight of the scoreboard pressure, succumbing to a 67-run defeat.

Although they lost early wickets, including those of David Warner (1) and Prithvi Shaw (16) in the opening overs, Delhi's hopes were revived by their emerging stars, Jake Fraser-McGurk and Abishek Porel, who injected life into the chase with an electrifying partnership.

Fraser-McGurk blazed his way to a sensational 65 off just 18 balls, smashing seven sixes and five fours at a remarkable strike rate of 361.11, registering the season's fastest fifty in a mere 15 balls. Porel contributed a solid 42 off 22 balls as the duo added 84 runs in just five overs.

However, once they departed, Delhi's momentum waned despite captain Rishabh Pant's valiant knock of 44.

Among the batting carnage at the Arun Jaitley Stadiu in Delhi, SRH pacer T Natarajan emerged as the standout bowler, delivering an impressive performance with figures of 4 for 19. DC spinner Kuldeep Yadav also took four wickets but gave away 55 runs.
