From Deepika Padukone’s favourite pile of poo emoji to Katrina Kaif’s rainbow hearts, we all have a favourite emoji that we use in almost all our conversations. They add life to our conversations. Emojipedia voted ‘Face with tears of joy’ as the most popular emoji for 2018. But do know which is the most popular emoji of 2019?

It is ‘Smiling Face with Hearts’.

Is this your favourite emoji too? This has been voted as the most used emoji of the year. In total there are 3,019 emojis and World Emoji Day is an unofficial "global celebration of emoji".

Every year, there are also requests for new emojis and some of them truly deserve to be included. Here is a list of emoji requests that have come in this year:

1. Saluting emoji
This emoji has been on the request list for 2 consecutive years - 2017 and 2018. It is again on the request list this year.

2. Happy tears emoji
This is also one of the most popular requests over the years and we so love this one.

3. White heart
On popular request over the past few years, this year a new emoji that will join the train of colourful hearts will be a 'white heart'.
