Gadinaadu

Surya is a college student, who fights for the rights of Kannadigas in Belagavi. He runs an organisation, called Gadinaadu , that works to protect Kannada language in Belagavi , as anti-social elements try to create unrest for their political benefits. Surya, thus, becomes a popular figure among the masses.

Once when clashes take place between the two warring groups due to the border issues between Belagavi and Maharashtra , Surya encounters a Maharashtrian girl, named Disha, with whom he eventually falls in love. This sets the premise of the story.

Gadinaadu has a love story against the backdrop of the border dispute between Karnataka and Maharashtra. However, the plot doesn’t delve deeper into the subject, and so it fails to strike a chord with the audience. Amateurish acting by the lead actors lets down the flagging storyline. Even songs are disappointing. There are some chest-thumping dialogues and ample dose of action that play to the gallery. This movie might work for you, if you’re a fan of age old love stories.
