BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi fighting cancer, says won't be able to help much during Lok Sabha elections

PATNA: Former Bihar deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi on Wednesday announced that he will not be able to contribute in upcoming Lok Sabha elections 2024 since he is suffering from cancer for the last six months.

In a post on X, the BJP leader wrote, " I have been battling cancer for the last 6 months. Now I feel that the time has come to tell people.
I will not be able to do anything in the Lok Sabha elections. I have told everything to the PM. Always grateful and always dedicated to the country, Bihar and the party."
The announcement comes amid speculation over his contribution for the upcoming Lok Sabha 2024 polls in Bihar. Lok Sabha elections to the 40 Lok Sabha seats in Bihar will be held in seven phases between April 19 and June 1.
