WhatsApp channels to get this new feature soon

WhatsApp Channels allows businesses and individuals to broadcast messages to a large audience directly within the WhatsApp platform. Since its launch, the Meta-owned app has introduced various new features in order to improve the user experience. Now a new online report suggests that WhatsApp is working on an improved channels list feature.

According to a report by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is all set to further refine the channels list by introducing a new feature. WhatsApp is currently revamping its channels list with several exciting upgrades. Among these improvements is a new feature allowing users to effortlessly create and explore channels, enhancing the interface's intuitiveness. Additionally, WhatsApp plans to display verified badges directly within the channels list, a feature absent in the current version.

Furthermore, the recommended channels section at the bottom of the list is undergoing a redesign to streamline user discovery and follow-up of new content. Another upcoming feature is the ability for users to select multiple channels simultaneously for bulk actions like muting, marking as read, or pinning.

“These enhancements will definitely elevate the user experience when engaging with channels. Particularly, the new feature allowing users to select multiple channels at once for bulk actions will make it easier for them to manage channels. This capability will be used to quickly mute or unmute multiple channels, allowing users to control notifications in one action,” adds the report.

An improved channels list feature is under development and it will be available in a future update of the app.
